Wow! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, it has been too long! I’m going to start to try and do a new post hopefully once a week. Anyway, lets talk about pre-workout. Until a few months ago, I had no idea what pre-workout was! Basically it’s like an energy drink you take to get amped up before a workout except it actually works and doesn’t have a crap load of sugar and not packed with calories or any other nasty crap that your body doesn’t need.
At this point I’ve tried many different brands of pre-workout, thanks to Clay and Zack with all of the sample goodies he brings to work! In my experience, they all do pretty much the same thing for me. Increase focus, strength, and endurance. Typically I don’t use it every workout, but if I’m feeling kind of crappy or lazy it definitely helps to down some pre-workout 15-30 minutes before hand and I’m ready to freaking go!
Something you should know: If you’re caffeine sensitive, you should read the label and see how much caffeine is in a serving. Some pre-workouts have more caffeine than others. If you’re really interested I suggest going to your local nutrition store *cough* Smiths Pro Nutrition *cough* and ask for some samples. All of them taste pretty good and have a variety of flavors (Orange Krush is my fav).
Brands I liked the most are: Pre-Kaged, Redcon1, and N.O.Xplode.
